Battery Powered
These PAT Testers offer great flexibility as there is no need to plug them into a mains socket.
Manual
PAT Testers without memory require you to record results in a PAT Log Book. Results can be manually typed into software to create reports.
Extension Lead Test
PAT Testers with an inbuilt lead length calculator for long cables and extension leads will save a lot of headaches.
Downloadable
Generally, PAT Testers with a memory can be downloaded to reporting software. This can then be made into reports.
Earth Bond Test
The Earth Bond Test (Earth Continuity Test) is carried out on all earthed appliances. An Earth Bond Test shows whether the earth conductor is in a satisfactory condition.
Flash Test
Flash Testing is a high tension insulation test which is no longer a requirement in normal PAT Testing. The only time it is required is after the replacement of a major component in an appliance, such as a motor.
Tests IT Equipment
This PAT Tester is suitable for testing IT and electronic equipment with a low current Earth Bond Test (usually either 100mA or 200mA).
Tester Has Memory
This allows the tester to store an allocated number of tests. These results can then be downloaded into reporting software.
Mains Powered
These PAT Testers offer a wider range of tests and are powered by a mains socket.
Connects To Printer
A Printer can speed up your PAT Testing a great deal. If you require a printer, then you must choose a PAT Tester with printer compatibility.
110v Run Test
Most industrial and construction equipment is powered by 110v. A 110v Run Test (also known as Load Test) is required for this.
Connects To Scanner
A scanner can speed up your PAT Testing a great deal. If you require a scanner, then you must choose a PAT Tester with scanner compatibility.
Insulation Test
The Insulation Test measures the insulation resistance of a device under test. A 250v Insulation Test overcomes problems in testing surge protected extension leads.
Calibration Included
A manufacturer calibration certificate is included with these PAT Testers. This certificate starts from the date of manufacture, so it is recommended that you still add a new calibration certificate.
