Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester Description
The Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester has been optimised for testing mid-volumes of workplace appliances in accordance with the IET 5th Edition Code of Practice. To this end it includes the following testing capabilities:
- Low current earth continuity tests
- Insulation resistance tests
- IEC lead tests
- Protective conductor current tests
- Touch current tests
- Load power/ current tests
- Alternative leakage current tests
- RCD tests
- Power socket tests
When used with an additional accessory the Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester is also capable of performing point-to-point earth continuity and insulation resistance tests.
It is possible to create and save up to 25 customised electrical and visual inspection test sequences to the Apollo 400+’s internal memory. Moreover, its extensive memory also has the capacity to record up to 2000 test results.
Further to this, the Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester is an updated version of the Apollo 400 and as such includes a number of improvements to its hardware, firmware and software compatibility.
Hardware Updates
New hardware features found on the Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester include an interchangeable, rechargeable battery, an additional wiring harness, test leads with strong PVC insulation, and robust test probes. These features add to the Seaward Apollo 400+’s practicality and work to extend its longevity.
Nevertheless, the Apollo 400+ retains a number of practical features present on the Apollo 400. It has inherited its predecessor’s QWERTY keyboard and colour, high-definition display, adding to the ease and efficiency with which the interface can be navigated, and information can be entered into the tester.
Firmware Update
Improvements made to the Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester’s firmware also add to the instrument’s simplicity- and efficiency-of-use. Updates include:
- New user permissions for Bluetooth
- A delete option for unwanted results
- An advanced search function
- An improved data view – the user can filter data using specifications such as the PASS/ FAIL status of a particular test
- The leakage test setup has been expanded to include ‘worst’ and ‘last’ options
- Unnecessary options can be deleted from drop-down lists
- USB on-the-go technology allows the user to download information to an Android smartphone or tablet
- Socket outlet test for checking mains voltage and outlet wiring
- Capacity to save downloaded files using unique identifiers
- Each test screen displays the asset’s ID
