The Megger PAT 150 PAT Tester – PAT Essentials Kit (Bundle 1) is exclusive to PASS. It includes the Megger PAT150 PAT Tester (see the description below) and a selection of additional accessories (see the list below). This kit has been designed for conducting yearly, low-volume PAT testing checks on appliances found in offices, schools and rented property.

• Deluxe Carry Case: designed to store the included the Megger PAT150 PAT Tester and Megger’s standard accessories, as well as the additional items included in this kit.
• Socket Tester: instantly detects a variety of wiring faults.
• eLearning PAT Testing Course - Includes Exam and Certificate: provides the user with fully accredited PAT testing training which may be completed at his/her convenience. The fully accredited online exam may also be taken at the user’s convenience and the pass certificate can be printed once completed.
• PASS PAT Testing Logbook: carbon copy logbook allowing the user to record all aspects of the PAT tests performed, including test results.
• Microwave Leakage Detector: designed to check the functionality and radiation emissivity of microwave ovens.
• IEC Adapter Set: facilitates a connection between the Megger PAT 150 PAT Tester and IEC-type appliances and leads, such as computers and/or laptop power supplies.
• CK Tools AVO5050 5 Piece Insulated Screwdriver Kit: a set of five high-quality screwdrivers all of which are fully insulated to 1000V. Ideal for electricians.
• 500 x Passed PAT Testing Labels: for placing on appliances that have passed the PAT testing procedure.
• 500 x Circular Passed PAT Testing Labels: smaller, circular design makes these labels ideal for attaching onto plugs and smaller appliances in order to indicate that they have passed the PAT testing procedure.
• 250 x Cable Wrap PAT Labels: designed to wrap around cables in order to indicate that they have been PAT tested.
• 250 x Failed PAT Testing Labels: to be attached to appliances which have failed the PAT testing procedure. These appliances should be removed from use immediately and sent for repair or replaced. 

Megger PAT150 PAT Tester Description

The Megger PAT150 PAT Tester is an upgraded version of the Megger PAT120 PAT Tester. It can be used to test portable fixed appliances and includes a number of features and functions not found on the Megger PAT120, such as:

• RCD (PRCDs) tests for 10mA and 30mA RCDs. This tester will not trip external RCDs and can check both 10mA and 30mA RCDs for disconnection times and the manual test button function.
• Test group pass limits are user-customisable
• Null bond lead resistance to prevent measurement errors
• Live circuit measurements for testing mains supply and socket polarity or electrical circuit voltage to 300V AC
• The Quick Test button can be used to conduct tests for continuity, insulation and mains powered leakage, as well as SELV measurements
• SELV can be measured to 50V AC and includes a PASS/FAIL indicator
• Mains powered leakage test; when performing this test the equipment-under-investigation will remain functional
• NiMH batteries can be recharged while fitted to the PAT tester

This instrument also includes a number of testing capabilities and measurement functions found on the Megger PAT120. These include:

• Test groups for Class I, Class II and Extension/ Power Leads
• Test groups ensure that the correct sequence of tests is performed for the type of appliance under test
• 500V default insulation test
• 250V selectable insulation test
• Substitute/ alternative leakage test (does not require a mains power supply)
• Can maintain the necessary test voltage down to 0.5MΩ when conducting insulation tests
• Continuity test – performed at 20mA DC in both polarities ensuring compliance with international and UK regulations

Furthermore, like the Megger PAT120 PAT Tester, this instrument may also be powered using AA or NiMH batteries and has a typical battery life of up to four days (if the user is testing 120 assets per day). This makes it suitable for use in environments without an electricity supply.

Its hardy design featuring rubber armoured cases and hardened scratch-proof glass also adds to the practicality of this instrument, ensuring that it can be used in rugged environments such as building sites and warehouses.

The Megger PAT150 PAT Tester is an easy-to-use instrument; it features a simple tick/cross PASS/FAIL indicator and will also fully display all the test results.
