Designed to speed up PAT testing procedures and give users easy access to all testing functions, Fluke's 6200 PAT tester is a rugged, reliable testing instrument that can be used to check all types of appliance and cables for electrical safety in compliance with the regulations of the IET Code of Practice.
A mid-range PAT tester, the Fluke 6200 combines together the functionality of an entry-level tester with several advanced features you won't find on those items. The first of these is built in memory, allowing the 6200 to store and download up to 100 individual testing records (no more writing things down in a logbook!). The 6200's design also makes PAT testing simpler than ever before - just plug in your leads, attach to an appliance and press a dedicated test button once to activate a test.
Suitable for use on both 230V and 110V appliances, the 6200 can be used in various environments ranging from offices to construction sites that use specific low voltage appliances. The PAT tester is capable of performing earth bond testing (at low and high currents), insulation up to 500V, leakage (PE current, touch current and substitute current), IEC lead tests, appliance power and load current testing and can also perform PELV (protective extra low voltage) testing.
Although heavier than some other PAT testers, the 6200 is still light enough to be easily ported from test to test and is uniquely designed to fit comfortably in the hands. A large size LCD screen relays back testing results and dedicated ports for mains plugs, probes and IEC leads are included to make connections as simple as possible. A set of diagrams on the front of the tester also give quick visual prompts showcasing how to connect up the different testing procedures.
