PAT testing is sometimes a difficult job and having an easy to use and portable testing machine can make life so much simpler.

This week we are having a close look at Metrel’s MI3311 GammaPAT tester. Metrel are promoting this testing machine as a tester of the future, but what are the features of this particular tester that can back up this claim?

Metrel GammaPATWe got one of our PAT experts to have a look at the features for us, here’s what he had to say;

This particular testing machine is a new type of tester as it has an inbuilt Calibration Checkbox which is great as it means that the accuracy of the tester can be carefully monitored without the need for a separate device. This makes complying with the IEE Code of Practice a much easier task.

It also has four auto sequence tests, 220 advanced auto sequence tests and built in help screens, can complete single tests for fault finding and for earth point location and has a flash memory storage of up to 1,500 test results.

The built in battery charger, ability to upload 50 customisable tests using the pro plus software make this machine a easy to use and ideal testing machine for those who want hassle free testing.

It comes in two different versions, the GammaPAT LITE and the Gamma PAT PRO.
The LITE version comes with the testing instrument and accessories but the ability to download test results is an optional extra.

The pro version comes with the test machine, downloading cables and software, passwords, and accessories.

Both versions come in a GammaPAT LITE kit version and a GammaPAT PRO kit version.
