The Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester has been optimised for checking large volumes of portable appliances in accordance with IET’s 5th Edition Code of Practice. As such it includes an eclectic array of electrical tests; is capable of performing point-to-point appliance tests for earth continuity and insulation resistance, and includes an integrated risk assessment tool with a retest calculator allowing the user to determine suggested retest periods.
In addition to this, the Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester includes the following tests:
These tests can be arranged into up to 100 user-customised electrical and visual inspection sequences and the results of these tests may be saved to the Seaward Apollo 500+’s extensive onboard memory (capacity for 10 000 test results).
Viewing data and entering information is made simple as a result of the Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester’s colour, high-definition display and QWERTY keyboard; features it shares with its predecessor the Apollo 500. However; this instrument also includes a number of updates to its hardware and firmware which are intended to improve the practicality, adaptability and versatility of this instrument.
Hardware Features
Downtime is reduced by the inclusion of a removable, rechargeable, interchangeable battery. Furthermore, it is also possible to power the Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester using a mains supply, allowing the user to adapt the tester to the situation.
In addition to this, the Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester is supplied with a wiring harness, test leads with strong PVC insulation, and resilient probes, ensuring that it can be used to perform more demanding applications.
Firmware Features
The Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester can be used to comprehensively, simply and efficiently test a large volume of eclectic portable appliances.
The Seaward Test ‘n’ Tag Elite Bundle Kit improves the efficiency and ease with which the Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester can conduct portable appliance checks. The tools included in this kit (see below) facilitate the tester’s ability to read and print 2D QR data codes.
The Seaward Test ‘n’ Tag Elite Bundle Kit works to further extend the Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester’s versatility and practicality.
The Seaward PATGuard 3 Software – 1 Year Subscription has been designed to aid the user in managing test results gathered using the Apollo 500+ and creating professional reports.
