The IEE code of practice recommends that pat testing labels should be applied to each appliance after testing. IEC (Kettle type) and extension reels should also be labelled and tested as seperate appliances.
It is very difficult to affix ordinary pat labels to leads and you will often find that when you next come to test the leads the labels that you applied last year have fallen off which makes it difficult to identify each particular lead / cable.
