PrimeTest 50 PAT Tester Kit 1 Overview
These PAT Testers offer great flexibility as there is no need to plug them into a mains socket.
PAT Testers without memory require you to record results in a PAT Log Book. Results can be manually typed into software to create reports.
PAT Testers with an inbuilt lead length calculator for long cables and extension leads will save a lot of headaches.

The Earth Bond Test (Earth Continuity Test) is carried out on all earthed appliances. An Earth Bond Test shows whether the earth conductor is in a satisfactory condition.

Seaward PrimeTest 50 PAT Tester description
With a basic range of tests, easy to use pass/fail reading and low weight, the Seaward PrimeTest 50 PAT tester is ideal for beginners or a simple ‘back up’ PAT tester for any experienced PAT tester.
To test an earthed appliance, perform mains cord testing or test a double insulated appliance you simply select the appropriate test and then the Seaward PrimeTest 50 PAT Tester will automatically run through the test for you and return a pass or fail on the easy to read large LCD screen.
The PrimeTest 50 from Seaward, like many introductory PAT testing systems, can return a FAIL mark when testing earthed appliances that have long cables on them, when in fact they should PASS. If you know you are going to test these sort of cables/appliances then you should look at investing at least the next model up, the PrimeTest 100 PAT Tester.
