The Earth Bond Test (Earth Continuity Test) is carried out on all earthed appliances. An Earth Bond Test shows whether the earth conductor is in a satisfactory condition.
Flash Testing is a high tension insulation test which is no longer a requirement in normal PAT Testing. The only time it is required is after the replacement of a major component in an appliance, such as a motor.
This PAT Tester is suitable for testing IT and electronic equipment with a low current Earth Bond Test (usually either 100mA or 200mA).

Seaward SuperNova Elite PAT Tester description
With a qwerty keyboard, flash testing and massive memory, the SuperNova Elite (previously Seaward SuperNova Plus) PAT Tester is top of the market for PAT testing equipment.
This portable appliance tester comes with flash testing capability and dual voltage set up for all manners of PAT testing a professional will encounter.
Not many PAT testers start up in less than two seconds. Not many PAT testers have a full alpha numeric QWERTY soft keypad. Not many PAT testers are as feature packed at the Seaward SuperNova Elite.
Don’t worry about connecting your printers up to this PAT tester, as it has more ports and connections on it than the average PAT tester. You can connect the barcode scanner and the likes of the Seaward Test ‘n’ Tag Printer (an optional extra).
