The Earth Bond Test (Earth Continuity Test) is carried out on all earthed appliances. An Earth Bond Test shows whether the earth conductor is in a satisfactory condition.
Flash Testing is a high tension insulation test which is no longer a requirement in normal PAT Testing. The only time it is required is after the replacement of a major component in an appliance, such as a motor.
This PAT Tester is suitable for testing IT and electronic equipment with a low current Earth Bond Test (usually either 100mA or 200mA).

Seaward SuperNova Elite PAT Tester description
The Seaward SuperNova Elite (previously Seaward SuperNova Plus) PAT tester is one of Seawards leading and comprehensive PAT testers.
The dual voltage SuperNova PAT tester comes complete with a flash testing ability to allow for any type of test, in most normal business situations.
The SuperNova Elite is packed with features from a fully alpha numeric QWERTY soft key pad to the auto test code generation function. It also holds up to 5000 test records in its very large on board memory, and can boot up in less than two seconds.
This PAT tester has connections for a barcode reader, scanner and compatible printer (optional extras). There is also a parallel printer port for you to utilise. Multiple plugs and ports mean you can easily and quickly test items with minimal downtime.
You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to operate the SuperNova Elite. It has walk through instruction screens for every test facility and a large graphics display which isn’t just user friendly but actually legible!
