Most modern computers don’t have a serial port; they have USB ports. The solution is to purchase a serial to USB adaptor.  However, you have to be careful which one you buy because some do not work with PAT testers.The reason for this is that the download lead for a PAT tester is not a Standard RS232 lead and is specially wired to accommodate the tester.We can supply a serial to USB convertor which does work with PAT testers.A good tip is don’t plug the serial/USB convertor into your computer until you have loaded the software drivers from the CD provided by the serial/USB convertor manufacturer.
