KT72 PAT Tester Overview
These PAT Testers offer great flexibility as there is no need to plug them into a mains socket.
PAT Testers without memory require you to record results in a PAT Log Book. Results can be manually typed into software to create reports.
PAT Testers with an inbuilt lead length calculator for long cables and extension leads will save a lot of headaches.

The Earth Bond Test (Earth Continuity Test) is carried out on all earthed appliances. An Earth Bond Test shows whether the earth conductor is in a satisfactory condition.
This PAT Tester is suitable for testing IT and electronic equipment with a low current Earth Bond Test (usually either 100mA or 200mA).

The Insulation Test measures the insulation resistance of a device under test. A 250v Insulation Test overcomes problems in testing surge protected extension leads.

A manufacturer calibration certificate is included with these PAT Testers. This certificate starts from the date of manufacture, so it is recommended that you still add a new calibration certificate.
The Kewtech KT72 PAT Tester is the newest battery powered PAT testing equipment from Kewtech with automatic test sequences.
This PAT tester is based on the Kewtech KT71 which is mains powered. The KT72 has similar features and functions but being battery powered enables you to have complete control and flexibility on moving and PAT testing in difficult locations like offices and server rooms where sockets are limited.
Another feature introduced to the Kewtech KT72 PAT Tester over its sister product the KT71 is the ability to do an easy Earth Bond Test through its new Earth Bond Test System built in. This test sequence has an easy-to-use traffic light system with three colour LEDs during the test sequence to indicate a pass or fail.
Green = PASS for all portable appliances
Amber = PASS for all long lead portable appliances and extension leads
Red = FAIL due to earth continuity being greater than 0.2 Ohms
This is a great portable appliance tester for any in-house and small business PAT testers as it is reliable, light-weight and easy to use with simple LED light indicators giving you a visual PASS/FAIL on appliances.
