NTB-1 Portable RCD Isolator Overview
The NTB-1 portable RCD isolator from Seaward allows for the testing of portable RCDs and RCD protected extension leads without tripping the main RCD on the installation.
The IEE Code of Practice requires RCD protected devices to be tested to ensure correct performance.
The Seaward NTB-1 is compatible with any RCD or PAT test instrument and the non trip box eliminates the risk of tripping the main installation RCD by isolating the electricity supply to the RCD under test. This means that a test can continue without worry that the main RCD will trip.
This lightweight unit can perform better and is more convenient than the previous isolation transformers that were used for this purpose.
